Blessings from Above

Well today we have been totally blessed. Our air conditioner went out last night and today God has blessed up with a cool cloudy day. Hopefully the repairs will be inexpensive and easily fixed this afternoon before the rain starts. But, like I said before...at least it isn't hot. Payton and I haven't really done a lot today. We walked Silk down to the pasture to graze for the day and she loved it! Payton was cracking up at her because she was rolling around in the grass like a little kid. She has been such a good horse and I know she will only continue to get better. Payton took her babydoll outside with us this morning to introduce her to the horse. Payton has been in such a great mood today! She ate a good lunch and is ready for her daddy to get home from work so she can go ride. My flowers are so beautiful in full bloom...our garden is really coming along great and I can't wait until we can start harvesting from it. My sunflowers are really starting to come along....we are going to have so many! I have really been enjoying my break from classes this week and spending more time with Payton. I will be sad to see the next two weeks go by and for school to start back up. Well I guess that is good for now since we don't really have a lot going on today.

A Fresh Start...

Well...here it goes...my first official blog! I have been thinking of doing this for a while now and after being totally inspired by Kelly Stamps this morning at the MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) meeting I am doing it. I hope that I can stick to it and find the time for it. Most of you reading this know me well, but for those of you who do not here are some facts. I am married to an amazing man who is extremely hardworking and loving. He provides for our family daily and never ceases to amaze me. We have been truly blessed with our daughter Payton. She is a handful but we would not have it any other way. She will be 3 in July and already I have learned so much from her...she has taught me to live life to the fullest and stop and enjoy the small things. She has helped me to become softer spoken for she is very tender hearted. She has a zest about her that I find enviable and hope to inspire her in the way she inspires us. Her random songs and constant chatter is music to my ears! She has found a new love in horses and we recently just got her a gentle mare that she can call her very own. Pictures of Sun Ray Silk, aka Granny, will be up soon. Well, that is all for now but will post more soon!

Thanks for listening!
